This gives them an edge over their contemporaries. These low-priced laptops will be more effective for users that love multitasking and will also be perfect for students and business people.

Asus latest models are the ROG Zephyrus and the ZenBook, and what makes the ROG stand out is the innovative display that comes with it, which provides better viewing angles for gamers.

In addition, the laptop also comes with NVIDIA Max-Q GPU that optimizes graphics and performance to deliver the ultimate gaming experience.

The ZenBook is equipped with a GDDR5 SDRAM and supported with NVIDIA GTX 1050 graphics card. It also comes with a touchscreen, and 4K resolution full HD LED display.

It sports the interactive and innovative ScreenPad, which has replaced the old touchpad to make it more exciting.

The quality of the hardware that comes with a Dell laptops depends on the price tag. When it comes to Dell laptops, the more expensive it is, the more powerful the hardware. Dell laptops are powered by AMD and Intel processors.

It’s worth mentioning that some of their low budget laptops are not powerful enough to match other brands. Dell prefers packing their high-end laptops with the latest hardware to stand out among their competitors.

The company has released some new models that are quite amazing, and the notable ones are the XPS 15 and Alienware 17 R5. These two machines are equipped with Hexa-core processors, SSD, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics.  The A17 R5 also sports a turbo boost processor and an IPS panel screen technology.

The XPS 15 is equipped with an anti-glare infinity edge display that prevents eye strain and is powered by a 6-cell battery that can work for up to 9 hours without charging.

3. Design

In terms of design, you can always trust Asus laptops to look as stunning as possible. The company always makes sure that every model that they produce comes out in a sleek and stylish way. Their products are built with durable materials that can last for years.

The perfect examples of the stylish and lightweight of their models are the ROG Zephyrus and the ZenBook.

In terms of design, Dell laptops are quite boring: you will hardly find any of their models with not attractive design.

Although they might be boring, they are not ugly: some of their machines come in vibrant colors. When it comes to design, they are not the best and definitely not the worst.

If you are buying the high-end ones, you will be able to see a few ones with more elegance and style, such as the XPS and Alienware series.

4. Product variety

You can always be sure that there is an Asus model that will meet your needs because it produces a wide range of laptops.

5. Price

Just like I mentioned earlier, no matter your budget, there is a perfect Asus laptop that will effortlessly meet your needs. From the low price level to the expensive ones, they have a massive selection to pick from.

For example, if you will like to buy the Zenbook, you will need to pay around $2000, while the ROG Zephyrus will cost you around $3000. These two machines represent the high-end Asus category, and if you are just looking for a laptop for general computing tasks, there are cheaper ones.

You can get the Chromebook for around $400, and if you are looking for high-end ones like the Alienware 17, you will need to pay around $2000.

6. Support

Customer support is a major factor that you need to consider before bringing out your wallet. And it’s quite discouraging that Asus does not excel in it. A lot of people have complained about the Asus poor customer support system.

In terms of online support, a lot of customers have complained that their website is difficult to use. You will need to go through the stress of completing a registration process before you can receive any support.

And the telephone support is not encouraging either: you will need to wait for long hours before you will be able to speak with a technician. And if you will need to send your laptop back to them for repair, some have reported that it can result in losing your laptop.

Dell understands the importance of a sound customer support system, and they are doing great at it. Many customers have passed positive comments about the support they receive, although there have been a few complaints which are quite reasonable.

If you have an issue with your laptop, the company will give you a personal technician to help you fix the issue, and the technician will stay with you until the issue is solved. So you don’t have to repeat yourself repeatedly if the issue is not solved yet.

You will also get a 12-month warranty on your laptop. It is worth mentioning that if your laptop needs to be sent back for repair, the company will use refurbished parts to fix it.

Some customers have complained about this, but it is clearly stated in the warranty.

The ZenBook comes with a “ScreenPad” that takes innovation to the next level, making it possible for users to have an interactive screen that enhances productivity.

The ROG Zephyrus is quite a beauty to behold and an amazing machine that is breathtaking. It’s one of the few lightweight gaming laptops that you can find right now. Most gaming laptops regardless of the brand are always bulky, but the ROG is quite unique.

The company has provided great technology solutions that have helped a lot of people. This type of innovations can also be seen in their latest models, the XPS and Alienware series.

With amazing features like the turbo boost processors and infinity edge screens, it’s clear that Dell remains one of the world leaders in technological innovation.

  1. Thanks for the insight. I’m needing a new laptop that will multi-task in Photoshop and Lightroom. I was leaning towards the Dell XPS 15. After reading elsewhere about quality control, reliability, and excessive fan and heat issues, I started looking at the Asus Zenbook 15. Seems to meet my budget and needs but the flip of the coin is what if something goes wrong? Sounds like Dell may be the way to go after all.

    • Thank you, Scott!

We have one Dell XPS 9500 model in our office and it has never been as loud as many bad reviews say. I think only a small fraction of XPS owners have this problem – happy buyers usually do not write reviews or comments on forums at all. The Dell XPS series is perfect for every kind of work, and only a limited budget would make me choose Asus (which also is a good brand).
